A Legacy of Caring
East Hill Veterinary Clinic has existed for more than 50 years. It was founded by Dr. Hand, who passed it to Dr. Keith Thayer, who passed it to Dr. Eric Davis, who sold it to Dr. Frank Grasse in 1978. For 33 years, Dr. Grasse was committed to practicing high-quality, compassionate small animal medicine and surgery.
We carry Frank in our hearts. He infused an incredible spirit into East Hill’s very being. A belief in always caring for both people and pets. And a passion for great medicine. In 2010, he sold the practice to Dr. Chana Eisenstein. Sadly, Frank did not live to enjoy his hard- earned retirement; however he did leave behind a loyal clientele, many of whom continue to recall stories of how Dr. Frank saved their beloved pet’s life.

Originally the memorial scholarship was established by Dr. Grasse for his classmate and friend, and when Frank died, his widow and Ivan’s widow re-established the scholarship in both their names. It provides assistance to the next generation of veterinarians. Because Frank was always thinking about how to help.
